Although we long to see every guinea pig remain in a loving home it doesn't always work out. This is why when space permits we take in owner released guinea pigs.  However we do ask that you make a donation of $30 for each female guinea pig surrendered and $90 for each male guinea pig surrendered (the extra is to cover the cost of neutering). All money donated goes directly to the food, housing, and medical costs of the guinea pigs within the rescue.

Here is our Guinea Pig Surrender Contract

Please see Cavy spirit's page on surrendering

And please, do not dump your piggy any where, just to be free of your obligation. Releasing a piggy to the great outdoors is a death sentence see Max's story. Guinea pigs taken to City run animal control or given away 'free to a loving home' through local advertising often become snake food or end up in animal testing facilities.
